FAQ

Q: What can I do to prepare for the work I have requested?
A: If we are renovating your existing building it's a good idea to move any furniture or items out of the space we will be working in. Our team will take care to minimise disruption when entering and leaving any premises regardless of whether they are currently occupied.

If we are going to be installing epoxy flooring, it can be as little as 24 hours before you can walk of it. However, the curing process can take up to a full week, depending on the weather, so hold off moving your furniture and vehicles back in for a few more days at minimum.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive my quote?
A: This depends on the scale of the work you have enquired about. Straightforward jobs like epoxy coatings can be much quicker to price but more complicated projects can take longer. If you would like a bespoke building built, our team need time to liaise with other tradespeople to get all the information we need before presenting it to you. When we speak for the first time we can advise you on what to expect and we'll keep you in the loop throughout the whole process.

Q: How long will my project take?
A: Again, how long your project takes can vary depending on the scale and complexity of what you would like done. Epoxy-coated furniture and benchtops can be done offsite and installed in less than a day. Even laying an epoxy floor can be done within a day or two, depending on the area to be covered. Larger projects like renovations and full building constructions can involve multiple trades and can take weeks. When we give you a quote we'll give you a time estimate based on our experience.

Q: How does epoxy work?
A: Epoxy is a product with two components: a resin and a hardener. When combined, a chemical reaction takes place that produces a plastic material that is so dense fluids and oils can't penetrate it. It's hard-wearing, easy to maintain and cost-effective so it's no wonder it's so widely used.

Q: Do I need to annually recoat a surface that's been coated with epoxy?
A: Not at all! Under normal conditions your epoxy coating, whether it's a new garage floor or a custom benchtop, should last many years. It's durable and won't stain, so if it's cared for normally it will look better than many other flooring varieties for much longer.

Q: Does epoxy give off any harmful vapors?
A: No, epoxy is an incredibly dense and stable material that gives off virtually no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and doesn't have any harmful odours. This makes is suitable for use anywhere from garages to commercial kitchens to wine cellars.

Q: How do I care for my new epoxy-coated surface?
A: Whether it's a garage floor or a piece of furniture, any spills should be cleaned up immediately, especially if it could be a safety hazard. When cleaning epoxy floors use a PH neutral floor cleaning solution, but for all other surfaces ordinary, mild household sprays can be used. Sections that are particularly dirty from use may need special attention before cleaning the rest of the area—and always rinse with clean water after you're done.

Q: What are your service areas?
A: Based in Dubbo, we'll travel out to just about anywhere in the Orana region of New South Wales. If you're a bit further away or unsure, feel free to give our friendly team a call.

Q: What are your service hours?
A: Our office hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon, but not weekends.
